Renting the White Hall Community Center

Located at the intersection of routes 614 and 810 (Garth Rd. and Browns Gap Turnpike) in western Albemarle County, VA. (Street address is 2904 Browns Gap Turnpike.)

The White Hall Community Center may be rented for private or community events. Basic rental fee is $150/day ($75/day for WHRC members). A deposit equal to the rental fee is required upon rental, refundable on determination that rental conditions have been met (cleanliness/damage inspection). (View rental agreement)

The Community Center space consists of an entry foyer, an open dining or assembly hall measuring 20 x 40 feet, and a fully stocked kitchen with refrigerator, two ovens, and a dishwasher that may be used by renters. New heating and A/C was installed in the main space in 2007; the kitchen has heating and a window A/C. A woodstove in the foyer and a fireplace in the dining hall can also be used. [Note: chimney inspection in summer 2010 revealed that our chimney is currently unsafe. Until we can have it rebuilt, no fires are possible in the hall.] There are 10 tables and 70 chairs available for renters' use. (For dining use, a comfortable maximum would be 60 people, 6 to a table.) The foyer has men’s and women’s rooms, and is wheelchair-accessible.
